I first started doing hair when I was ten years old. I am the oldest of five children, and the first four of us are girls. I was always styling my sisters’ hair. It may have not looked very good in the beginning stages, but I’ve always enjoyed creating new things and hair was just another medium. In high school I was always helping girlfriends get ready for school dances and I remember how amazing I felt when I saw how happy they were as I helped them to feel beautiful and glamourous. That was when I knew I wanted to be a hairstylist.
I graduated from Paul Mitchell in 2007, and I’ve had the opportunity to use my occupation as a creative outlet for the past 11 years. I am a stay-at-home mom to three beautiful and rambunctious children. Doing hair has given me the flexibility to bring in extra income while interacting with other adults. I love to be around people, and my passion for helping others to feel beautiful and to embrace their uniqueness has not changed. Our culture here in Northern Virginia is so diverse. Working behind the chair has given me a love for learning about other people—everyone has a different background and experiences. As I take the time to get to know them and help brighten their day, they give me perspective. Together we create something new.
As a formal event stylist and makeup specialist, I’m all about making my clients my number one priority as soon as they call the salon. Once you walk through our door, you will feel immediately at ease while surrounded by relaxing aromatherapy in a toxin-free and stress-free environment. I never overlap appointments, and so you will have my undivided attention. I will help you go over what styles best compliment your natural hair texture and face shape, what colors and tones best suite your complexion, and build upon your usual look to make it ready for any special occasion. My goal is for you to look like you, but for your features to pop and you look naturally beautiful.
